daniel taylor: countertenor

I would have taken his distinctive voice for that of a woman. Daniel Taylor is one of the most sought-after countertenors in the world. He has made more than 80 recordings with various orchestras and was greeted with critical praise. His North American debut came in Handel’s Giulio Cesare at the New York Metropolitan Opera.

With the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra in Toronto, Daniel Taylor offered an evening of glorious music singing J.S. Bach’s Cantata 170, for the Sixth Sunday after Trinity and arias from Antonio Vivaldi: Bajazet and Barbaro traditor.
